Job Description:

The Healthcare Operations Director will provide strategic leadership for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of our upcoming innovative healthcare start-up MEXT. You will ensure that all operational processes, resources, and personnel are effectively employed to deliver high-quality health and wellness care solutions, improve operational efficiency, and meet regulatory requirements. The Healthcare Operations director collaborates with clinical, administrative, and executive teams to drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, optimize workflows, and enhance brand satisfaction.

 

Duties: Operational Leadership:

  • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and direct/ oversee all operational activities within the venture to ensure smooth, efficient, and effective service delivery

  • Ensure alignment of operational processes with organizational goals, clinical standards, and regulatory compliance in addition to establishing objectives for the organization

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize health and wellness care delivery, enhance safety, and improve clinical standards of services or products

  • Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs and improve efficiency

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical, IT, finance, etc.) to enhance workflows and integrate best practices in healthcare management

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement

  • Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining high-quality service delivery

  • Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and implement cost-control measures without compromising the quality of care

  • Manage vendor contracts, procurement, and supply chain operations to ensure timely availability of necessary medical equipment and supplies

  • Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, coordinate the work of other teams, mentor, and manage the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning

  • Ensure proper staffing levels, conduct performance evaluations, and provide training and professional development opportunities for staff

  • Promote effective communication across departments to align teams with operational and organizational goals

  • Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and healthcare policies of Ontario

  • Coordinate with the quality assurance team to implement and monitor patient safety protocols, infection control procedures, and compliance with healthcare standards

  • Allocate material resources to implement organizational policies and programs

  • Oversee risk management and ensure that all operational activities prioritize patient safety and regulatory adherence

  • Patient Experience and Satisfaction:

  • Drive initiatives aimed at improving the patient experience and ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction

  • Analyze patient feedback, implement changes, and address any operational issues impacting the patient journey

  • Technology and Innovation:

  • Leverage healthcare technology, data analytics, and innovate tools to optimize operations and improve care delivery

  • Collaborate with IT to implement and maintain information systems and other digital health technologies related to healthcare

 

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in health or related field is required

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in healthcare operations management

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role

  • 3+ years’ experience in budget management, process improvement, regulatory compliance and patient care operations

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality management systems
